A replacement fuse for position F1 is included in the form of a re-settable fuse, which is reset by simply turning the console off and then on again, saving the need to replace the fuse again.
Also included is a new Panasonic branded capacitor as the performance of capacitors usually deteriorate with age, by replacing the capacitor you can ensure the console is providing the correct power to controllers which should help to prevent the common problems associated with controllers on the Dreamcast.
Replacing the battery with a battery holder and ML2032 rechargable 3V battery (battery not included) is worthwhile whilst repairing the board, this kit includes a premium grade coin battery holder to complete the controller board upgrade. Once installed this mod allows easy replacement of the battery without further soldering.
