This is an adapter plate to allow you to replace the stock custom 50mm fan in the Nintendo Gamecube with a standard 40mm x 10mm thick fan. A Noctua 12v fan is recommended due to it's availability and low noise adapter for quiet operation.
Compatible fan model: Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX 12V 40x10mm 3 pin (Fan not included)
The plate mounts to the stock GameCube fan frame with the original fan screws and then you use standard fan screws (that come with the Noctua fan) to mount your 40mm fan to the plate.
This design has been remodeled from scratch in Fusion 360 with a thicker front plate for more rigidity, a slighter larger Fan opening with rounded over edges and improved screw hole tollerances.
Install:
Open your GameCube using a Gamebit 4.5mm screwdriver from the base, remove the lid and locate the original fan at the side.
Remove 4 screws to release the fan and unplug it.
Attach the new fan to this adapter plate, use the standard fan screws that come with the fan to secure attach the plate.
Place the new fan into the same position as the original fan and secure with the old screws that secured the original fan.
Connect the adapter wire to the fan and the other end to the fan power connector to the power board.
Reassemble the console.
